We are a family owned company that has been in the hardwood flooring industry for over 10 years. We are originally from SW Florida, where we specialized in custom wood flooring for the ocean front estates from Naples to Tampa. The majority of our work was centered on the islands off the west coast of Florida, such as Boca Grande, Sanibel and Longboat Key. We loved our work in Florida as it gave us the opportunity to do something different and exciting for each customer. Some of our more memorable jobs included sourcing, installing, sanding and finishing 9” wide by 16’ long heart pine that was dredged from the rivers in the South Eastern US . The wood was between 300 and 500 years old and had beautiful grain and color that you just can’t find in today’s new growth trees. We were also afforded the opportunity to collaborate with top interior designers helping to bring their design vision for the client’s home to life. This included doing things such as staining and tinting wood flooring to match fabric swatches. One of our favorite color choices was staining a heart pine floor a color the designer called “drift wood blue”. This color was to match a beautiful piece of carved driftwood that was to be the centerpiece of the home. Both the floor and home came out absolutely gorgeous and very unique.
Most people when they find out that we are originally from sunny Florida ask “Why in the world did you move to the rainy NW?” Our main motivation for moving was that we wanted to start a family and we felt that Portland afforded us a more family oriented area to do that. We are very happy with our decision as we have found that Portland and the surrounding areas offer a great deal of resources and activities for families with young children, not to mention that the people have been very friendly and accommodating.
We have brought the same knowledge, skills and resources to the NW that we used in SW Florida. We are committed to providing each customer, no matter the job size, a high quality result. Whether the homeowner is looking for a standard oak flooring refinish or an exotic custom milled wood floor we are equipped to do each successfully. We are here to walk the homeowner, designer or contractor through the ins and outs of wood flooring to make sure that each project is successful and that all involved are proud of the end results.
