There are many options available when it comes to wood flooring, and we know that it can become overwhelming at times. At Champion Hardwoods we are here to educate you about your choices and help walk you through the process.

  Due to the close working relationship we have with several wood flooring mills we have access to most domestic and exotic wood species.  We are able to offer the majority of species in unfinished, prefinished or engineered.  Your flooring can generally be milled to any width from 7/8" to 20" wide.  There are many hand scraped and distressed flooring options available as well. The look you are hoping to achieve with your floor along with your budget help to determine what wood flooring options are right for you and your family.

  One of the products we are most excited to share with clients is the unfinished engineered wood flooring we offer.  Many people when they here the term engineered think of an inferior product.  This is not the case with the engineered flooring we provide. In fact we believe that in most applications it is superior in meeting the needs of our clients.  Every engineered floor we sell is custom milled to each clients species, length and width requirements.  The engineered floor is then installed, sanded and finished in the same manner as a standard 3/4" solid wood floor.  The engineered flooring we offer is available in either a 5/8" or 3/4" height, with wear layer options of either 4mm, 4.4mm or 7.3mm.  If you chose an engineered floor that is 3/4" in height with the 7.3mm wear layer you would be getting the same life span as a standard 3/4" solid wood floor, but all of the benefits that an engineered floor has to offer.  These benefits range from being very environmentally friendly, extremely cost effective when dealing with exotic species and most importantly for our rainy NW climate, very stable with temperature and moisture fluctuations. 

  We offer environmentally friendly FSC certified flooring in both unfinished and prefinished species. We carry Lyptus, Muskoka and Mullican brands which practice sustainable forestry. We can provide wood flooring from trees native to Oregon that are milled here locally, which is especially helpful on a LEAD project.  We also make sure that all the wood we buy is sourced from responsible mills. 

  We are proud to use the BonaKemi Environmental Choice Finish System on our sand and finish floors. These products meet or exceed all state and federal clean air quality standards. This is the only hardwood floor finishing system that is Greenguard certified for indoor air quality. This means that the finish will not pollute the air with harmful levels of dangerous chemicals and particulates. The finish is rated for both residential and commercial applications. It is extremely durable and can stand up to high traffic areas.
